Hi Thunderscorpion here the Art Show was a bust I was unable to go because of unforeseen circumstances, the next one is in March maybe I’ll be able to catch it then. On the bright side I recently got a package that contained Battle Royale on Blue Ray, It was awesome I even got my older sister to watch it and she liked it which is unusual, she doesn’t topically like what I’m in to. The manga is so much more violent as hard as that is to believe, Any ways enjoy the reviews.

The Last Zombie: Neverland #1

The issue begins at Neverland Ranch near Davis City Iowa, Not to be confused with the late Michel Jackson’s Neverland Ranch. where two children await the  return of someone as well and their parents Meanwhile, on the Missouri Iowa Border the APC’s crew are having mechanical troubles, so some of the soldiers decide to go out and stretch their leg’s, DR. Russo notes that DR. Ian’s condition has worsened when he starts to cough up blood. Later while the soldiers search for supplies, private Johnson and DR.Russo find themselve’s alone in a hardware store when they start to become intimate, but suddenly the floor caves in and they are sorrowed by a swarm of vicious rodents only nearly escaping being mauled to death. The issue concludes with tests on DR Ian being delayed as the group prepares to move out. Note: at the back of the issue there is a preview for the return to the planet of the living dead comic, but been there done that, I give this issue ( 8 out of 10 ).

Rasl #15

The story continues in this final issue with Rasl and Uma talking in their car about Rasl’s plan to destroy Tesla’s Journals and Also we finally learn the meaning of Rasl’s name turns out it’s an acronym for ” Romance at The Speed of Light ” go figure, anyway’s Rasl and Uma are surprised when they see the creepy little Girl out their window, and Rasl go’s out after her, then a cop car drives by and Rasl orders Uma to turn her car’s lights off and drive away, but she turns her lights on to soon and crashes after being startled, and the cop car pulls up and Sal steps out and hold’s Uma at gun point, But Rasl walks up and throw’s sand in Sal’s eyes before grabbing Uma, Sal then uses his T-Suit to escape, but Rasl follows in his own as they appear on the ledge of a cliff, and fight as they both go over the side and land with Sal’s arm being  broken, but he pulls out his gun as the creepy Girl appears again and Sal use’s all his bullets on her with little affect, as Rasl scores a hit with a rock knocking Sal off the cliff casing him to fall to his death, After Rasl’s epic battle with Sal he walks the desert until he comes across his hidden stash and Maya arrives, as Rasl call’s her on her deception pretending to be Uma but she shoots him before reviling that she was the one that killed Miles and that she had always planned to take the journals for herself, But Rasl has A trick up his sleeve as he fire’s the array wiping her out before he escapes in his T- Suit, Later Rasl treating his wounds and takes a look at his digital copy of the Tesla Journals before riding out into the distance for the last time. Rasl was an interesting story that will long be missed I hope they continue the story again someday, many questions have been answered, but there is still plenty of room for more it was a fun ride well it lasted ( 9 out of 10 ).

I love Ricardo Delgado’s works and I think I’d be awesome if he did A Age of Reptiles comic featuring prehistoric Sea creatures, Just A thought if anyone is in contact with him maybe suggest it wink wink nudge nudge. I give this issue ( 8 out of 10 ).

Deltora Quest Anime

Deltora Quest Anime

Hi Thunderscorpion here, I saw the second Berserk movie Battle for Doldrey I was disappointed it was like watching Berserk in on fast forward and there were times when the CG was stiff and they cut too much of the story I really think the old anime is better I hate when they use flash backs without any contexts for people who didn’t watch the older anime or read the Manga I can image them being very confused. I’ll watch the next Berserk movie Descent, but if things don’t slow down and get better than I may drop the movies all together. I’ve been watching the Deltora Quest anime lately, only the English Sub version I hate the dub of this anime with a passion. I actually like the anime better than the manga, the anime is much better righted then the manga, but the Book is better than both. I really enjoy these reviews and I hope you will too.

Rasl #14
The issue starts with Rasl and agent crow in a heated discussion about the Tesla journals when Sal shoots at Rasl and miss. Adams orders her men to arrest Sal, but Sal suddenly kills her and her men instead as Rasl use’s his machine to escape to a parallel world. Meanwhile, Rasl dust himself off and call’s Uma asking her to meet him at Lucky’s Bar when they both arrive and Rasl orders a drink, but he suddenly interrupted when Sal walks in gun’s blazing as everyone duck’s for cover and Rasl quickly gets the drop on Sal tying him up and leaving him in the Bar’s freezer. The issue end’s with Rasl and Uma driving out into the desert as they park in a secluded location and share a passionate kiss and a certain little creepy girl appears looking in through their window. Why didn’t Rasl just kill Sal when he had the chance. Also that creepy girl is so cool always showing up at random. ( 8 out of 10 )

Age of Reptiles: The Hunt #1
The issue begins with a mother and child dino lounging underneath a seemingly unstable rock formation when a trio of horned carnivores attacks them and the mother dino is killed, but the young one is able to escape. Several session’s later the young dinosaur has grown and is still being hunted by the same pack of horned carnivores when the chase leads the pursued dino, which I’ll be calling the Red carnivore from now on for account of its looks, hides inside the corp.’s of a large dead dinosaur, and I though they smelt bad on the outside…. meanwhile, he takes off as the horned dinos start eating his hiding place and after running though the desert and eating a few small blue dinos with a taste for tongue, must be French…. the red carnivore takes in some well needed rest before wakening up surrounded by the horned dinos, when suddenly the ground beneath them caves in and they fall into an underground cavern. the issue ends with the Red carnivore discovering a light in the tunnel as the horned dinos crowd him from behind causing them all to fall out off a ledge and into a canyon river below. so far the first Age of Reptiles comic is still the best, but this was great too. Baltimore: The Curse Bells #5
The story continues with the bells having been rung and the towns people having been turned into mindless zombies as Lord Baltimore is curiously unaffected by the curse and is able to strike down the Barbarian’s feathered servant as he then fights his way through the halls of Vampire Nuns before it is revealed that the Barbarian man is the incarnation of Hitler or something like that, as he exclaims his aspirations for conquest and it finally becomes clear to the tainted Nuns that his promise to cure them was a lie so they seek their redemption in feasting on his flesh. Elsewhere Haigus and Blavatsky from a kind of alliance before Baltimore arrives and Haigus turn’s into A Bat and flees. Then Baltimore frees MR. Hodge from his cell as he cleverly avoided the effects of the curse by plugging his ears, they bear witness to the vampire Nuns as they let them self’s burn in the sun light reduced to ash and the issue ends with Lord Baltimore and MR. Hodge parting ways as the Inquisitor later revisits the convent and seeks MR. Hodge for Questioning. ( 8 out of 10 ).

I don’t know about you but I’m rooting for the Deinonychus they have been dyeing left and right in this story but I hope they can pull off A victory. ( 9 out of 10 )

Neon Genesis Evangelion: the Shinji Ikari Raising Project Vol 9
In this volume Misato orders her class into the pool on account of the heat, but tensions increases as Asuka rally’s the girls agents the boy’s and Misato exacerbates the situation by starting a water dodge ball compaction to decide who gets to stay in the pool. later DR. This series has way to many spontaneous ecchi moments I mean when it serves the story it’s ok but what are the souls of Shinji’s and Gendo’s shoe’s made of really Butter I think the whole accidentally fell excuse is BS Asuka needs to beat Shinji harder because I think he’s just playing stupid. THUNDERSCORPION’S COMIC BLOG

Comic Review May 8, 2011

Hi Thunderscorpion here I’ve been working on a lot of my other projects lately,  but recently I received a bunch of comics that I ordered and I plan on making a number of new posts; sometime after the 8th.  Till then here’s a new set of comic reviews .

The Littlest Zombie V.S The Littlest Vampire #1

This issue starts off at the old Rockefeller building where the Littlest Vampire, a little vampire girl with a distinctive lisp complains about having less than half a glass of blood to drink for dinner after it is explained to her that the supply of human blood is being rationed because of the zombie apocalypse, she throws a temper tantrum and is thrown in her room and grounded, but she soon checks out and scours the streets in search of survivors to quench her thirst for blood when she finds a small group of survivors made up of two men named Ben and Jerry and an orphan boy named spank who slyly snuck along for the ride. So the Littlest Vampire use’s her mind control powers on them and is surprised to see that the young boy spank was unaffected by her powers because of the night vision goggles he is wearing so she orders the two other men under her control to get the boy and in the process they trip one of their own traps and a grenade blows  the two men up and draws in a crowd of zombies as well as the littlest zombie, which chases after the boy along with the littlest vampire and the story ends with sly Spanky outfoxing them all and making a get away in his dead companions car unaware that the Littlest Vampire and Littlest Zombie are still clinging to the back of the vehicle. I loved this issue and I hope that they do more comics with the Littlest Vampire and the Littlest Zombie together in the future (8 out of 10).

Rasl#6

In this issue we get an interesting look at Nikola Tesla.  Where we learn many fascinating facts about Tesla’s life such as the fact that Thomas Edison created the electric chair as a way to discredit Tesla’s more advanced alternating currents form of electricity and that tesla had amazing ideas like wireless communication and end all wars super weapons that could protect the earth from invaders from outer space, mixed in with the brief history of Nikola Tesla we see Rasl up to his old tricks steeling priceless art in alternate worlds and selling them to art dealers elsewhere later while Rasl drinks and plays cards at a casino he is approached by Sal who asks him to go get the journals he wants but Rasl takes a swing at him and the two fight and the issue ends with Sal scoring a hard punch on Rasl. I really enjoyed the history of this issue that Nikola Tesla was a brilliant man I give this issue (8 out of 10).

Baltimore The Plague Ships #5

The issue continues where they last left off with the strange fungus flowers now spreading into the sea and suddenly reanimating the many dead soldiers beneath the depths of the sea as Lord Baltimore and Vanessa fight desperately to fend them off; the zombies become too great in numbers rising by the thousands.  Lord Baltimore leads Vanessa into the safety of a near-by submarine as he stays out and face’s the undead mob in mass while in the sub Vanessa recalls the rest of what Lord Baltimore told her of his past about how after his wife died he hunted down his tainted family and burned them all and how he put a nail in his leg for each one in order to never forget. Once it was day light Vanessa emerged from the sub to find Lord Baltimore still mercilessly alive and standing he explained to her how he held them off untill the sun came and finished the rest for him and that he say a ship off the horizon, after the two are taken to a port Vanessa makes the decision to return home having come to the conclusion that Lord Baltimore is cursed and that staying with him would end up with her dead, the issue ends with Vanessa’s Grandmother being tortured by a man from the inquisition asking for Lord Baltimore’s whereabouts .This comic series is awesome and loaded with all kinds zombie and vampire Goodness (8 out of 10)

The Secret History  Book 13

The issue begins in Valdemone Sicily where workers unearth the ark of the covenant, but german soldiers arrive to attack them and take it for Dyo.  Elsewhere in Sicily a glider plane lands carrying a group of american paratroopers who are welcomed by Itzar as he guides them to a village he is surprised to find his old friend the Rebel who tells Itzar about  past wars and how the ark came to be where it was, meanwhile the germans weather weapon has begun to manipulate the weather conditions threatening the d-day landings, but Itzar and the group of american soldiers makes their way to the site of the weather weapon and Itzar selflessly walks into the device shutting it down saving the landings, but mysteriously disappearing in the process and the issue ends with Reka and Erlins Bomber dropping an atomic bomb in japan over Nagasaki with Dyo and the ark on the ground. (8 out of 10)

Neon Genesis Evangelion Shinji Ikari Raising Project Vol 6

In this volume another layer of intrigue is added to the plot in the form of a possible love interest in new student in Shinji’s class Mana Kirishima; to the dismay of Asuka she has yet another rival to compete for Shinji’s affections.  Life go’s on as usual as Shinji helps Rei with practicing for a class quire competition and then  Misato has shinji and the gang spend the day cleaning the class room later Hikari has a Hinamatsuri party at her house and every one join’s in on the festivity especially Misato when she stops on by and passes out liquor to the girls as customary, but denying Shinji,Toji and Aida a drink.  The evening ends with Shinji seeing a buzzed Asuka back home and the volume ends with the group taking a trip to old Tokyo, where they visit the Japan heavy chemical industrial cooperative where things escalate out of control and shinji and rei are forced to use the air ducks in order to reach the facility’s main control room to prevent a reactor meltdown. Comic Reivew March 12, 2011

Hi Thunderscorpion here went to go see the premier of Battle LA the other day. When I first saw the commercials for the movie I though district 9 was gonna have a sequel and that the prawns were back for revenge.  The movie was great it was kinda like black hawk down, but with aliens.  Also I heard about the tsunami and earthquake in japan, it looks like the beginning to Evangelion over there with the buildings under water in stuff  anyway here are the reviews enjoy.

Mouse Guards The Black Axe #1

The issue begins with the guard mouse Celanawe working on constructing a new Frostic outpost alone near the sea-shore while elsewhere an aged mouse named Em discovers that she and Celanawe are the last of their family’s line and she sets out to meet her kin when she arrives at the frostic outpost riding a top a crow she is warned by Celanawe to stay quiet and leave with him because they are being hunted, but suddenly the crow starts making noise and it is attacked by a pack of savage weasels, so the two mice hide themselves in the woods and make a narrow escape as Em use’s her ability to communicate with birds to call a duck to aid them and there are able to make it safely out to sea. The issue ends with Em giving Celanawe a note from the Bronwyn telling him to follow Em’s every order and then Em tells him that there quest is for the fabled Black Axe. ( 8 out of 10)

Baltimore The Plague Ships #4

The issue begins with Lord Baltimore and Vanessa sitting by the camp fire  talking when the subject of Lord Baltimore’s family is brought up and another layer of tragedy is added as we learn that when Lord Baltimore returned home from the war he found out from his wife Elowen that his parents and sister where dead. While staying with his wife he becomes ill and one night while he rested in bed he was alarmed to hear that a doctor was there to see him fitting the description of the vampire Haigus so Lord Baltimore raced to his wife only to find her already murdered by Haigus.  Later Lord Baltimore attends his wife’s funeral and stays until night when his undead vampire wife walks out of a mausoleum and trys to embrace him, but then a priest steps in and convinces Lord Baltimore to slay his undead wife.  The issue ends in the present back on the beach where Lord Baltimore and Vanessa continue to talk when the strange fungus from before starts to suddenly bloom in to strange flowers. Yes, Beware the fungus flowers : ) another great issue I give it ( 8 out of 10).

Rasl #5

The issue begins with Rasl at Annie’s house where he talks with her about the need for her to find some place safe to stay at and also his plan to go to a parallel world to get funds for them to going to hiding, but as he leaves the house and sits in his jeep he black’s out and recalls his past working with Maya and Miles. When he comes too, he later meets the Maya of this parallel world again while walking around and she offers to take him on a private tour of the museum and the issue ends with Rasl having a flash back where we learns how he came into possession of Nikola Tesla’s missing journals.  No recap at the beginning of the issue this time, but interesting story I give this issue (8 out of 10).

A Very Zombie Summer #1

Like the “A very Zombie Christmas” comics I’ve reviewed previously this issue consists of a small collection of short zombie stories.  The first of which is entitled “The Littlest Zombie Learns To Swim”  is about the littlest Zombie and how he manages to attack a small boat full of a group of survivors while walking under water on the floor of the lake by using a dead divers flippers.  The next story entitled “The Rott Stuff” is drawn in a manga style and is about a hair brained scientist and his two lovely assistants as their trapped on a platform on a beach surrounded by zombies created from a failed air freshener experiment. After that story there are a few zombie pin-up art pages and a short comic about zombies and the oil spill in the gulf of mexico. The issue ends with a preview of  “The Last Zombie #1” and it still looks great.  All in all this issue was ok, but no-where near as good as the “A Very Zombie Christmas” comics where I give it (7 out of 10).

Fubar vol 1

Since there are fifteen short stories  in this “World War II zombie comic” collection I counted the “Kilroy was here story part 1 and 2” as one story I’ll be rating them all and then filling you in on the best stuff.

As you can see by my ratings I only liked a few of the comics shown, most of the comics were drawn well enough, but a lot lacked in story telling which I understand it is hard to write a good fulfilling story in such a short comic, but still some manged to be very entertaining, the comic I liked the best was “The Mother Russia” comic it was drawn very well and had a great atmosphere.  It’s about a female Russian soldier named Svetlana Orlova.  She was once an accomplished dancer who joined the Soviet army after her family was killed by German bombs.  One day as she was sniping out the “Walking Dead” below from her towering position, she spots a young child walking along amongst the zombie’s so she sprung into action saving the child before being cornered by the undead when their suddenly saved  by a german shepherd named Thor and the dogs master a german officer named Otto Von Steiner. The story ends with the two agreeing to help one another to escape so that they can get to her tower that has food supplies enough to last  them all for years. There is suppose to be a mother Russia comic coming out some time in 2011 I look forward to it another comic that’s worth mentioning is Kilroy Was Here Part 1 and 2 which is a story about Sgt Kilroy and his two soldier companions nicknamed Fatty and Four Eyes as they barricade a house and later spend the night fighting off hordes of zombies.  All in all I give Fubar Volume 1 a (7 out of 10) there should be enough good World War II zombie action in the comic to please most zombie fans and I for one would definitely pick-up Fubar vol 2 when it comes out this fall.

Comic Review January 25, 2011

Hi thunder scorpion here. The best comics of 2010 post I had planed on making is taking me longer then I expected, so in the mean-time I thought I’d post a new set of comic reviews.

GUERILLAS  VOL 1

I read the first four issue’s of this comic back when it was with Image comics and I was disappointed when I heard that new issue’s would not be made, but instead that there would be a TPB and that the book would come out at a different company this time called Onipress. The comic itself starts with an introduction by Jackson Publick the creator of the venture brothers animated tv show, where he explains why the comics creator Brahm Revel was not able to work on the comic because he was working on the show, but it would appear that Brahm now has some time on his hands and will be continuing his comic projects. The Guerillas comics story starts off with the main character private John Clayton on his first patrol in Vietnam, but as he witness the horrors of war he begins reminiscing his past and starts to regret his reason of going to war for the purpose of pleasing his father, but the fighting becomes intense as the vietcong  ambushes his platoon and private John is left as the lone survivor of the attack with the vietcong advancing towards him things look bleak when suddenly a platoon of chimpanzees armed with m16’s and dressed in US military fatigues attacks the vietcong and save’s him.  At first John is terrified of the creatures in particular the group’s ape leader named Goliath, but luckily John find’s a place for himself in this odd platoon as cigaret lighter for these apparently smoking ape’s meanwhile a Dr Heisler readys his lab experiment baboon named Adolf and gathers a team of marines to go deep into Vietnam with him in search of his twin brother and his Guerilla secret weapons. I loved this comic when I read it a few years ago and I still love it now the action was intense the story was fantastic and the art was amazing all that plus its ape’s with machine gun’s what more could you ask for I give it. (10 out of 10)

BALTIMORE THE PLAGUE SHIPS #2

This issue continues with Lord Baltimore and Vanessa after having escaped from jail finding a ship’s crew willing to take them to Livorno while aboard Vanessa ask’s lord Baltimore why he hunts the one vampire in particular and the horrorable scene’s of his past are shown as we learn that Lord Baltimore was once a soldier and that while in the army he once went on a night attack where his whole company was killed and he was shot in the leg and left for dead amidst the body’s of his fallen comrades when suddenly a flock of gigantic vampire bats surrounds him and starts feasting on dead body’s when one bat closes in on him and Lord Baltimore cut’s its face with a bayonet getting one of its eyes in the process, but the vampire bat grabs him and breathes something into his leg before flying off with the other bats and later Lord Baltimore  awakes in a hospital to find one of his legs amputated and the issue ends with him being disturbed at night in bed when he see’s the sacred faced vampire in his room.  Great comic the battle scene with Lord Baltimore and the vampire bat was master full I give this ( 8 out of 10).

RASL#3

This issue begins with Rasl emerging from a swirling ball of light caused by the amazing machine he strapped on previously. Once he recovered from his painful trip he discovers that he has arrived in the parallel world where he was first attacked by his girlfriend Annie’s killer the strange faced man. While checking out the parallel world’s town he reminisces about the past and we learn that two years ago Rasl along with his friend and partner named Miles and his wife Maya who he was secretly cheating with where working on a project to create an incredible machine based on concepts pioneered by Nikola Tesla. Later in the present Rasl visits the lab where he once worked at in the parallel world and meets this worlds Maya. After this chance encounter he arrives at his girlfriends house and spy’s on the Annie that lives in this parallel world when suddenly from a distance he see’s the strange faced man kick down her door gun drawn with the intent to kill Annie again and the issue ends with the strange face man taking a  strange machine like the one Rasl has from the trunk of his car and using it to get transported to another parallel world as Rasl tells Annie to get somewhere safe and straps on his machine and goes after him. ( 8 out of 10)

THE LITTLEST ZOMBIE #1

The issue start’s off with the littlest zombie scrounging around in search for food when he discovers a dead human body and trys to feast on it, when he has his find stolen away from him by a huge fat zombie and a truck with survivors in it. Suddenly it crashes into the side of a building. As the survivors run inside they take a water purifier with them that they intended to bring back to their camp for the other survivors, but as they hold out inside the building the big fat zombie walks into the doorway and they shot out its knee caps making the fat zombie a fleshy corps barricade while inside we learn that one of the survivors is responsable for the groups problems by having messed up their mission by staying longer in order to get himself drugs and we learn that another survivor in the group is actually a marauder spy and as they discuss whether or not to sell out their friends back at the camp to the marauders a crowd of zombies outside begin to tunnel thru the fat zat zombie barricade and a group of survivors shows up in a vehicle  from the camp after  having heard their talk of  betrayal over a radio that the group thought wasnt working so the spy sets off a grenade and most of the group sacrifices themselfves by throwing themselfves over the water purifier and the grenade saving the survivor camp for certain death  and leaving only drug user guy left alive that is until the littlest zombie eats him and the issue ends with the Littlest zombie finally enjoying a proper zombie feast ( 7 out of 10)

THE SECRET HISTORY#12

This issue takes place in the year 1942 and starts off with Curtis in an air plane somewhere in the pacific when the air crafts crew spots a nazi submarine unloading black stones to the japanese soldiers so they bomb them and destroy many of the stones.  Meanwhile in a German factory two resistance spy’s sneek around and take photos only to discover that a horrific looking man in a nazi uniform is performing some kinda dark ritual.  Later the Archons, Rekia and Erlin devise a plan and send aircraft on a mission to destroy a dam in order to flood the factory. Then the story goes to Los Alamos where plans for creating the worlds first atomic bomb is in development and the issue ends with Philby recovering a new rune giving him the power to swing the balance of the war in favor of either the Axis or Allys ( 8 out of 10).

Comic Review January 3,2011

Hi Thunderscorpion here, this will be the first post of the New Year which makes this blog a year old I can’t say that the blog is where I originally expected it to be at this point in time, but now I understand what I can realistically expect from this blog.  Although I was hoping to reach a larger audience by now I feel that I have helped a small amount of people find comics that they might not have otherwise discovered and that’s good enough for me.  Anyway, I’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year and also mention that sometime in the near future I will have a new post for you all on the best comic’s that I’ve read in 2010 till then have a good one.

Baltimore The Plague Ships #1

Baltimore The Plague Ships #1

I had somehow missed this comic when it first came out, but later when I learned that it had zombies in it well that’s all it took to get my ears perked. The story takes place in World War I in Europe where the war has ended due to a plague cased by vampires.  The issue starts off with Lord Baltimore chasing after a group of ghoulish zombies as they run thru the city streets and then on top a church, but as they climb a rope to reach a zeppelin flouting above suddenly a bolt of lighting strikes them and Lord Baltimore get tossed into the air and is knocked unconscious when he awakes and finds himself in a room with an old woman and her young grand-daughter named Vanessa Kalderas. Well with them he talks of his quest to kill a particular vampire called Haigus and the young woman named Vanessa  say’s that she had seen him and that the vampire that  he seeks  is at Livorno, but she wants him to take her away from the town in return. He denies her wish and walks out of the house only to be suddenly knocked out by the towns people and  he is taken to a prison cell where he is told he must stay until a man from the inquisition arrives to judge him and the issue ends with the young woman from before showing up at Lord Baltimore’s prison cell with an offer his freedom in exchange for him to take her with him to Livorno.  The art in this is done by Ben Stenbeck I liked his work in the living with the dead comics the guy sure can draw some great zombies.   I really liked this comic it was better than what I heard it was and I look forward to reading the next issue the preview for it looks fantastic I give this issue ( 8 out of 10 ).

Rasl #2

Rasl #2

In this issue many of my questions were answered as where the 1st issue revealed little and left me wondering what was going on the story continues in this issue with the time traveling art thief that we now know is named Rasl hence the title, so he returns home from what was apparently a parallel universe and he gives the painting that he stole to his girlfriend even thou it has a bullet hole in it from when he had that run in with that strange faced man in the trench coat leaving it worthless. After spending the night with her he goes out on the town and returns back home to find his girlfriend murdered and the part of the painting with the bullet hole in it cut out in a heart shape know doubt left as a warning from the strange man he had met before and the issue ends with Rasl strapping on his weird-looking machine and using it to travel to another parallel universe; where he is going I do not know, but I can’t wait to find out in the next exciting  issue of Rasl.  Also about the strange guy that Rasl meets in the first issue while in the 2 nd issue he is refered to as the lizard faced man, but I think he looks more like Joe Camel or something, anyway great comic I give it ( 8 out of 10)

P.S   I noticed that the back of the issues line up to make a  picture that was cool.

The Terminator 1984 #3

Terminator 1984 #3

In this final issue the group enjoys a time of peace at their hideout house in Mexico that is until the terminator arrives and a pregnant Sarah and Ben drive off in their get away car and Kyle stays behind to confront the Terminator, but he gets shot and Sarah orders Ben to stop the car so he can deliver her baby, but as the Terminator approaches their car a still alive Kyle fires a rocket at the Terminator and then finishes it off with a sledgehammer finally ending its rampage, but sadly Kyle’s wounds are to severe and he dies after talking with Sarah and Ben and seeing his new-born son.  The issue ends with glimpse of their future as Ben and Sarah live for the time happily and  at peace as they raise a very young John Conner. I liked this ending and I belive it was a very nice tribute to the Terminator movie’s ( 8 out of 10 ).

28 Days Later #17

28 Days Later #17

This issue starts off with Clint and Selena’s car running out of gas, but the two are luckily able to find a fruit tree and enjoy themselves, later they find a house and encounter a weak starved infected on the floor and they take a car from the house and continue down the road that is until they have to pull over and hid when a U.S hummve comes along and drives past them, later the two find a seemingly abandoned town and pick out a house to spend the night in.  After gathering up some supplies Clint surprises Selena with a bath tub with clean water and the two take turns enjoying a long-awaited bath.  The issue ends with Clint awakening to see Selena staring out the window sensing danger, so they make their way out back to their car only to get in and find that the keys have been taken.  Pretty good issue had a suspenseful ending  I give it. ( 7 out of 10)

Comic Review November 18,2010

Hi Thunderscorpion here I hope to have some more comics coming in soon so  expect more reviews later on which may include The Walking Dead Vol 13 if amazon was telling the truth about its release date being Nov 23, 2010 as well as many other great comics I’ve been looking forward too, also I recently got another flier for the Claremont packing house comic book  and collectibles show.  It is on Sunday, Nov 21st 10 am-5 pm at the same place if you want to go I probably won’t go it’s a really small event, but maybe I’ll get board and give it another shot if I do then I’ll be sure to review it.  Anyway here’s the comic reviews.

The Last Zombie #2

 The Last Zombie #2

In this issue Dr. Ian Scott and the convoy of two armored personnel carriers move further in to infected territory and while driving down a ruin towns street they find a little girl standing in the road alone so they quickly move towards the girl and soon discover that she is not alone when her mother comes running out to protect her after the team explains their good intentions  the woman and her child are relieved, but their relief is short-lived as the scent of rotten flesh fills the air and zombies start moving towards them in the chaos of the moment and after coming face to face with the undead Dr.Ian take’s off running and trips and  falls into a hole filled with many dead body’s and the issue’s first story ends there and then; the unholy night comic which was featured in the A Very Zombie Christmas comic is in the issue, but I’ve already reviewed that and I still really like it. Anyway’s the whole issue’s story was great and I look forward to the next one I give it (8 out of 10) if you like zombie’s then pick this comic up.

The Terminator 1984 #2

The Terminator 1984 #2

This issue starts off with a terminator in human form being transported to the year 1984 and beginning its search for Sarah Conner.  Meanwhile at the US /Mexico border Ben talks with Sarah Conner and learn’s that she is pregnant and that the father is Kyle Reese so he try’s to convince her not to go on their planned rescue of  Kyle because of the importance of her unborn child, but in the end Sarah Conner gets her way and the two decide to leave together  to get back their friend Kyle, meanwhile at the military base where Kyle is being held, Ben and Sarah sneak their way in and rescue’s Kyle, but while they where making their escape they find the remains of a terminator that the government is trying to piece back together so Ben blows up what was left of it and they make their get away, but as they drive away from the scene they encounter the newly sent terminator from the beginning of the issue as it climbs on top of their get away vehicle and try’s to get at them, but they are able to lose it by driving the car into a construction site and crashing the car into a barrier sending the terminator flying into tons of wet concrete and sinks as they slip away into the night.  The issue ends with us learning that a hand still remains of the terminator that was blown up and with the terminator that sank in the wet concrete breaking free three weeks later and continuing its pursuit (7 out of 10).

Aliens vs Predator#1 for 1.00

Aliens vs Predator#1 for 1.00

I bought this issue for purely nostalgic reasons I all ready have the original 1st printing issue’s of the first Aliens vs Predator comics the thing is that I have not read them because I’m waiting to read it all together in the Aliens vs Predator Omnibus whenever I get it, anyway I really liked this issue the story was pretty great it centers around a woman named Mackiko  whose job it is to manage a community of ranchers on a planet called Ryushi, but the ranchers dislike her because she was unavailable for six months working in her office, but things get interesting when a predator ship drops alien eggs on the planet and an alien queen is unintentionally born making the predators hunt perhaps to difficult to achieve.  I can’t wait to read the rest of this story later on I give this issue. (8 out of 10)

28 Days Later #16

28 Days later#16

The issue begins with Selena in a dreamlike state where she talks to many of her now dead friends that she had met throughout their journey after this moment of hallucination reality sinks in to reveil that she is still standing inside of the mannequin cage with infected still reaching for her, but then suddenly she is rescued by a group of Glasgow people on a planed raid to steal King Dixon’s people’s food supplys so she join’s forces with them just long enough for her to rescue Clint and recover her stolen earings and they escape together as the Glasgow and Edinburgh factions battle in the streets the issue ends with Clint and Selena resting in their get away car after having gotten far enough away from the violence at Edinburgh.  The art has changed yet again and I still wish it was better and more consistent. (7 out of 10)

Berserk vol 8

Berserk vol 8

This volume starts off with the band of the hawks still in the heat of the battle as Guts faces off with the enemy’s leader General Boscogn, but Gut’s sword is broken after having had endured his previous fights in which he slayed a hundred men, but luckly for him a large sword is thrown from out of know where and Gut is able to utilise it to beat General Boscogn at the same time Casca and her men were able to defeat their ambushers and take the castle all but ending the battle in victory for the band of the hawks.  After their string of successes in the campagne the band of the hawks returns to midland as heroes and a banquet is held in honor of Griffith, but soon after Griffith is proclaimed white phoenix general and the members of the band of the hawk the white phoenix knights he is given a poisoned drink and he collapses on the floor to the shock of this friends, but Griffith is still alive and in fact had planned this event to find who his true enemy are so when he discovers that the queen of midland and her loyal subjects where behind his attempted assassination he has the structure that they reside in burned with them still in side, but after Griffith had dealt with his enemy’s one thing that he did not count on happens when Guts decides to leave even after the band of the hawk pleads for him to stay, but he insist’s that he must go and follow his own dreams in stead of living in the shadow of Griffiths dream but it would seem not so easy as Griffith refuse’s to let him leave unless he can defeat him and an epic duel acurse.  The volume ends with Guts taking his leave after he shocking defeated his friend Griffith.(9 out of 10)
