Free Comic Book Day 2012 Comic Reviews

Hi Thunderscorpion here with my review of Free Comic Book Day 2012.I managed to get most of the comics I sought out for, I had to get the Mouse Guard and Stuff of Legend FCBD issue’s I look for them every year and luckily I was able to find them both although finding The Stuff of Legend FCBD issue proved more difficult. anyway here’s the reviews!

Buffy The Vampire Slayer/The Guild Free Comic Book Day 2012

In this issue Buffy combat’s an Alien inside A spaceship with only A can of bug spray and A Lighter as A weapon meanwhile Spike plays Boy Scout Leader for A troop of skittish talking bugs. I skipped the “Alabaster part 2″ comic it wasn’t really my scene I also largely skipped The Guild side of the issue the story seemed kind of retarded to me. I give this issue (7 out of 10) Seeing Buffy take on that Alien was pretty cool.

Dinosaurs VS. Aliens Free Comic Book Day 2012

When I first saw this comic’s cover I thought it looked like your general comic pandering to people into Dino’s and aliens in such but when I looked inside I was surprised to see Great almost movie quality art and an interesting alien interdiction at the beginning it looks like it could be a great one. (7 out of 10) A preview is supposed to make you want to see more and that is the affect it had on me.

Mouse Guard/Labyrinth and others HC Free Comic Book Day 2012

The Mouse Guard proportion of the comic features A story told through puppetry about a mouse named Baldwin and how he settles a community and clams himself a lovely mouse bride, The Labyrinth part of the story is about Hoggle’s failed attempt to find love by challenging the goblin city gate’s humongous guard as he follows the bad advice of a certain infamous worm, I also flipped through the other comics contained in this book but did not find them interesting enough to review, I give the book as A whole (6 out of 10) But I have read better Mouse Guard FCBD comics.

The Stuff of Legend/Finding Gossamyr Free Comic Book Day 2012

Although the Finding Gossamyr side of the comic dominates the issue I was more interested in the other Stuff of Legend side form the beginning Gossamyr came off like your run of the mill kids go to A strange land type story. you know the story’s there often about some kids usually with family issue’s that go to A mystical land and save something or another. “Narnia” for Example and that’s fine if you like that kind of story but The Stuff of Legend preview was more to my likening however short it was. the preview featured Monty the Monkey recording are heroes journeys so far on the walls of A cave when Anya the Tiger arrives and makes her disapproval of King Max The Bear’s regime apparent the coming continuation of the story The Toy Collector Chapter is shaping up to be great I give this issue (7 out of 10)

Dairy of A Zombie Kid Free Comic Book Day 2012

I never liked the original Dairy of A wimpy Kid series but this is just awful the whole comic is full of stupid short stories about the Zombie Kid I like Zombie comics and I think this is one of the worst Zombie comics I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading. Total crap is a word I’d use to describe this comic. While writting this review I was tempted to use the comic as kindling for a fire I really feel ripped off by this comic even though I paid nothing for it. I want the time I spent reading this comic back, but it’s gone (1 out of 10) don’t waste your time on this.
